My sisters get me 😉
When they saw this book, “52 Ways to Walk: the Surprising Science of Walking for Wellness and Joy, One Week at a Time”, they knew exactly who to buy it for!

Every chapter in this book introduces a new way of walking, such as taking a muddy walk, taking a walk when it’s windy, walking with a map, walking silently, taking a smell walk, walking barefoot, walking beside the ocean, walking in the full moon, even walking backwards! It’s conveniently broken into 52 chapters in order to try one different method each week.

Like I really need another project to do !! 😂 I’m sure I’ve done many of these already so I can probably check 10 of them off my list!
I’ll report back throughout the year .

Meet the Artist!
Today I had the pleasure of attending a small art event for artist Monte Wright at his home in Kitchener. Monte is the mural artist who painted the Kaufman Mural (1995), a reproduction of which is mounted at Kitchener Market.

As Monte prepares to move from his home, his family wanted friends and community members to have the opportunity to visit his studio and his art works - so much art!!

I had the pleasure of interviewing Monte about his Kaufman Mural and his still has all of the documentation for the project!

The KW arts community is pretty special 💕 So many people count Monte as a mentor, teacher and artistic inspiration!
